Patricia Nessy

Patricia Nessy, whose parents were both opera singers, began her musical studies with her father and later graduated with distinction from the Vienna Conservatory. She went on to win Germany’s national singing competition in 1993, and in 1997 was awarded the Berliner Kunstpreis for her performance in Pirates of Penzance. Her extensive repertoire includes leading roles in Merry Widow, Gypsy Princess, Magic Flute, Cabaret, Funny Girl, and Kiss Me, Kate, and she has performed at the Volksoper Wien, Royal Albert Hall, and Carnegie Hall. Her passion for Viennese operetta was highlighted in her role as artistic director of the Wiener Operettensommer, in addition to her regular performances with Salute to Vienna.
