Alexander Steinitz

Alexander Steinitz (Vienna)

Conductor

Alexander Steinitz received his training in orchestral conducting at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and at Yale University. Master classes with Zubin Mehta, Lorin Maazel and Jorma Panula rounded off his education, before embarking on an international career. Maestro Steinitz has conducted concerts in Europe, America and Asia with more than 50 orchestras, including the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and the Vienna Chamber Soloists, whom he conducted on their tour to Japan. In opera, he has conducted at the Vienna Volksoper as well as many state theatres in Germany, and has held several conducting positions at houses in German-speaking Europe. Awards include the Rheinische Post Theatre Oscar for his production of Mozart’s Don Giovanni that was later recorded for the German television network ARD. His production of Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice was nominated for the German National Theatre Prize.

Sera Gösch

Sera Gösch (Vienna)

Soprano

Sera Gösch was engaged as soloist at the Volksoper Wien from 2012-2015. Since then, she has performed at Vienna’s Musikverein, Konzerthaus, and State Opera, as well as across the United States, Canada, Russia, Italy, Bulgaria, Slovenia, South Korea, and Taipei. She has sung Konstanze at Les Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg, Het Toneelhuis Antwerpen, and at the Nationaltheater Mannheim. In 2018, she undertook the title role in Salome in a co-production between the Hungarian State Opera and the Budapest Summer Festival, a role she performed again in 2019 and 2020 in Lucerne, Switzerland, and in Budapest for a new production with Hungarian State Opera. After the second theatre lockdown in Vienna, she was back in autumn 2021 with concerts in the Golden Hall of the Wiener Musikverein and a Gala at Musiktheater Wien with Lulu and Salome. In addition to her annual appearances in Salute to Vienna in North America, she will perform in the inaugural Salute to Vienna performances in Israel (December 2022).

Roman Martin

Roman Martin (Vienna)

Tenor

Roman Martin was born in Vienna. For many years, he was engaged by Austria’s Bühne Baden while also regularly guest performing on stages including the Graz Opera, Alte Opera Frankfurt, the Deutsches Theater Munich, and the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, among others. In 2011, Mr. Martin began singing with the Volksoper Wien, where he was engaged as a soloist for seven years. His repertoire includes musical theatre and opera, as well as classic operetta tenor buffo roles. Most recently he has performed the role of Leopold in The White Horse Inn in Switzerland to great acclaim.
