Bernhard Schneider

Conductor

Austrian conductor and choirmaster Bernhard Schneider grew up and studied in Vienna. He has held positions as musical assistant at the Wiener Staatsoper and as opera chorus director at both the Nationaltheater Mannheim and Opera North in the UK. Maestro Schneider is currently the chorus master of the Oper Graz where he has also conducted ballet, concerts, and musicals. He has been engaged at prominent music festivals, including the Festspiel Baden-Baden, the Salzburg Festspiel, the Seefestspiele Mörbisch, and many more. As a conductor, he has appeared with various Baroque ensembles, as well as the Savaria Symphony Orchestra, the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, and the Grazer Philharmonisches Orchester. He teaches conducting at the University of Arts in Graz.

Anita Lukács

Soprano

Since 2005, Anita Lukács has been the prima donna of the Budapest Operetta Theatre. She regularly tours abroad, and has performed in both productions and concerts in Germany, Dubai, China, the USA, Canada, Russia, Israel, Brunei, Qatar, Oman, and beyond. She portrayed Sylvia in Gypsy Princess at the Katara Opera House in Doha, and Valencienne in Merry Widow at the Dubai Opera. As a guest artist, Ms. Lukács sings at the National Theatre of Miskolc, the Csokonai Theatre, and the National Theatre of Győr. She has been part of several productions at MÜPA, where she appeared in the title role in von Suppé's operetta Beautiful Galathea, and in Michael John LaChiusa's musical drama, The House of Bernarda Alba. Her repertoire includes both operetta and opera roles. In 2018, Ms. Lukács was honored with the Operetta Actor of the Year Award at the Budapest Operetta Theatre.
