What is your favorite musical composition?

Salome by Richard Strauss.

What languages do you speak?

English, German, and Turkish

What are you reading currently?

I am reading Marina Abramovic's Walk Through Walls

What is your favorite breakfast?

Eggs and coffee!

Where is home for you?

Home is where I am singing.

What do you enjoy most about performing in Salute to Vienna?

For me, the concerts are pure Viennese music with a New Year's fever! It is so heartwarming and everybody is happy after the concert.

What do you love to do, other than singing?

I like eating! :) Besides that, I love to see, watch, visit anything and everything about art.

What is your favorite city to perform in? Why?

I love to perform in Vienna because the public know a lot about music and that makes it really engaging. I also love performing in Canadian and American cities because audiences are so enthusiastic and very kind!

What is the most challenging part of your job as a singer? And the most exciting?

When I step on the stage, I want to bring the character that I am playing alive. This means emotionally I am becoming this person BUT, at the same time, I maintain my singing position, my body strength, and my awareness of everything around me as a performer. Losing yourself while keeping control is very challenging but so wonderful to achieve.

Who is your favorite person to travel with? Why?

Actually, I like to travel alone. I can concentrate better on what I am doing and I get to know different people.

Describe your perfect New Year’s Eve. Who are you with, where are you, and what are you doing?

The best New Year for me is singing on a Salute to Vienna stage, and then meeting many nice people, and then eating and drinking!
