Dániel Lökös

Last updated 2016: Austrian tenor Dániel Lökös studied cello at the Béla Bartók Institute of Music of the University of Miskolc and at the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, where he graduated in 2010. His career in singing launched shortly after when he debuted with the role of Radames in Verdi’s Aida in 2012. He has been a frequent performer at the Vienna State Opera, most recently in its 2015/16 season. A career highlight has been a solo performance in a Wagner marathon concert with the Budapest State Opera.

 

Mr. Lökös’ career has earned him work with distinguished conductors and directors, and several large-scale international concerts, including Highlights of Verdi’s Operas, which was staged at the Gárdonyi Géza Theatre of Eger in 2013, and a 2014 performance of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony in Taiwan. In 2015, he sang at the Salzburg Festival in a production of Fidelio. Mr. Lökös has appeared in performances of La bohèmeAriadne auf NaxosPeter Grimes, and Barber of Seville.
