Szilvi Szendy

Hungarian soubrette Szilvi Szendy has been a member of the Budapest Operetta Theatre since 1998, where she has established herself as one of Hungary’s celebrated operetta performers. Her repertoire includes roles in Lehár’s Land of Smiles and The Merry Widow, as well as Kálmán’s Countess Maritza and Gypsy Princess. She has also appeared in musical theatre and comedy, demonstrating her versatility as a performer. A recipient of Hungary’s Bársony Rózsi Memorial Ring, Ms. Szendy has performed internationally in Germany, Austria, Japan, Oman, and Qatar. Her career is closely associated with the rich Hungarian tradition of operetta, combining vocal agility, theatrical flair, and a natural gift for comedy.
