Rebecca Nelsen

Rebecca Nelsen is a core ensemble member of Volksoper Wien and has performed at Teatro La Fenice, the Salzburger Festspiele, and Glyndebourne Opera House. In 2025, she performed in KaiserRequiem at the Philharmonie de Paris. She recently returned to Volksoper Wien as Pamina, Violetta, and Contessa, sang the title role in The Merry Widow in Beijing, and made her Florida Grand Opera debut as Adele. Other roles include Susanna, Marilyn Monroe, Lulu, and Gilda. Ms. Nelsen also performs regularly in concert, her repertoire including Carmina Burana, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, and Haydn’s Die Schöpfung, and has presented a solo performance in the Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein. In 2027, she will make her debut at Teatro alla Scala as Anne Trulove in The Rake’s Progress.
