Monika Fischl

Mónika Fischl studied singing at the Liszt Music Academy before joining the Budapest Operetta Theatre. Roles include Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus, Hanna in Merry Widow, the title roles in Kálmán’s operettas Duchess of Chicago and Countess Maritza, and her most acclaimed performance, Sylva in Gypsy Princess, which she performed both on film and at the Seefestspiele Mӧrbisch in Austria. Operatic roles include Violetta, Queen of the Night, Gilda, Norina, and Musetta. She is a recipient of the Artisjus Prize, the Honthy Prize, and the Franz Liszt prize.
