Lyne Fortin

Last Updated 2017: Lyne Fortin has performed extensively in cities including Montréal, Québec, Toronto, Vancouver, and Seattle, with title roles in Agrippina, Thaïs, and Carmen, and roles in La traviata, Rigoletto, Die Fledermaus and Merry Widow. In Europe, she has appeared with the Vlaamse Opera as Madame de Tourvel in the premiere of an opera based on Dangerous Liaisons, as Ginevra in Handel’s Ariodante, and with the Scottish Opera as Donna Anna in Don Giovanni. This past season, she was in Paris and Avignon as Regine St. Laurent in Rufus Wainwright’s Prima Donna, and with Opéra de Québec as the Diva in Starmania. Past awards include the Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition and the CBC Radio National Competition for Young Performers.
