Beate Ritter

Coloratura soprano Beate Ritter studied in Vienna at the University of Music and Performing Arts. She gave her operatic debut in 2009 at Theater an der Wien as Yniold in Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande and has since made appearances throughout Europe, including with Malmö Opera, Tonkünstler Orchestra, Opéra national de Lorraine, Komische Oper Berlin, Orchestre National de Lyon, Leipzig Opera, and Deutsche Oper am Rhein. Ms. Ritter has been an ensemble member of the Vienna Volksoper since 2010. In the 2018/19 season, she will join the Stuttgart State Opera in role debuts as Gilda, Musetta, Zerbinetta, and Olympia, and will return to the Vienna Volksoper to perform as Queen of the Night.
