Viennese soprano Angelika Brandner studied theatre, film and media science before moving on to the University of Graz for her voice studies. She attended masterclasses with Robert Holl, Marijana Lipovsek, Angelika Kirchschlager, and Barbara Bonney and has been a scholarship holder from the Summer Academy of the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz (AIMS) and the Wagner Association of Graz for the Bayreuth Festival in the summer of 2023. She has taken part in operetta concerts under Gerrit Prießnitz, and her repertoire includes the soprano solo in Mahler's 4th Symphony, which she has performed under Alexander Kalajdzic. In Carinthian, Ms. Brandner stepped in at short notice in Schloss Albeck and performed shortly thereafter in Graz as Mrs. Grose in Britten's The Turn of the Screw. She has worked with KS Irmgard Boas in Dresden, among others, and studied with Prof. Wolfgang Dosch on her operetta repertoire. She appears regularly in operetta concerts throughout Austria and Germany.
