Peggy Steiner



Peggy Steiner comes from a musical family: her grandfather was General Manager of the Staatsoperette Dresden, and her mother and grandmother were prima donnas in Berlin (Metropol Theater) and Dresden. Ms. Steiner studied at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler, and took master classes with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau. She has performed leading roles in Der Freischütz, La clemenza di Tito, Die Fledermaus, and the title role in Countess Maritza and Smetana’s Bartered Bride, and has appeared with the Komische Oper Berlin, the Sächsische Staatsoper Dresden, the Berliner Philharmoniker, and at Konzerthaus Berlin, the Dresdener Musikfestspiele, and the Rheingau Musik Festival.
