Described as "a conductor with immense musicality and warm personality" by Maestro Zubin Mehta, Nir Kabaretti graduated from the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna, and is currently the music director of the Santa Barbara Symphony and the Southwest Florida Symphony. Some of his collaborations as guest conductor include the philharmonic orchestras of Israel, Taiwan, Tokyo, Buenos Aires, and Rochester, the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, the Jerusalem Symphony, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid, Royal Seville Symphony Orchestra, the Bochumer Symphoniker, and the chamber orchestras of Israel, Vienna, Lausanne, and Philadelphia. Mr. Kabaretti’s operatic experience includes productions at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino in Florence, Teatro Real in Madrid, the Israeli Opera, the Lausanne Opera, New National Theatre, Tokyo, and the Bregenz Festival.
