Matjaž Stopinšek

Slovenian-born Matjaž Stopinšek made his professional debut as Belmonte in Mozart’s Abduction from the Seraglio at the Musikverein Graz. Since then, he has appeared in theatres and festivals in Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Slovenia, and in Austria, where he is a regular guest artist at the Lehár Festival Bad Ischl, Bühne Baden, and Landestheater Linz. He has performed a wide range of roles, from Sou-Chong in Land of Smiles to Florestan in Beethoven’s Fidelio. Mr. Stopinšek has appeared in concerts with renowned orchestras including the Münchner Symphoniker and the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, and his concert repertoire includes works by Bach, Mozart, Bruckner, and Verdi.
